So the Mykolaiv Zoo, one of Ukraine's most respected zoos, is on the front line of the Russian invasion. They've had rockets land inside their grounds, constant air raid sirens, and even a pitched battle close outside their gates. Through it all, the staff have continued to care for the roughly 4,000 creatures in their charge (many of which are endangered species). There is no way to get all the animals to safety (though they're doing any they can!), so the only real option is to care for them in situ. Some of the keepers have even taken to living at the zoo, as they were worried they could get trapped elsewhere and be unable to care for their animals. That's love.
Now, zoos aren't moneymakers at the best of times, and they've obviously been closed to the public for several weeks. BUT you can still buy tickets online, and help them out. Ten adult tickets comes to $34 USD, so my nine imaginary friends and I are going to the zoo tomorrow!

Quick step-by-step:
1. Find the "Квитки ONLINE" link right below the big green banner. Click on it BEFORE changing website languages
2. Feel free to switch the language now from the upper right corner. Pick a day from the list and click the green "buy a ticket" button
3. Tickets Selection tab: the pricing table here won't translate, but it's basically listing ticket prices for adults, then kids, then dogs, in UAH. choose the corresponding number of tickets from the third column's drop-down menu, then check out from the bottom right corner
4. Contact details tab: you will need to enter a valid email here and then confirm it with a code. The terms are boilerplate, nothing spammy. Agree and press continue, confirm the code.
5. On the following page, your name and a phone number are the only required fields. Any phone number with the international prefix will work just fine. Agree with the public terms but untick the second box (it is untranslated, basically asks to send emails about future activities). Press continue
6. Delivery and payment tab: choose electronic tickets here, and proceed to a secure payment processor via bank cards. Supports Liqpay, Visa, and Mastercard
*If you want to share the link with others, use op's URL. Do not share the one where it displays the tickets list, it will only revert back to the original landing page on a fresh browser cache; and seeing as Kontramarka is a state-wide tickets website, that will make things considerably harder instead of the opposite
