given that quark quote it would’ve been fun if b’elanna had been forced to reconcile with the violent parts of her human heritage as well as her klingon heritage and recognize that given the right circumstances humans can be just as if not more savage than klingons. imagine if her arc went from “my klingon side is so savage and brutal i can never reconcile it with my human side :(“ to “holy shit. holy shit never mind. humans are insane actually” after spending a couple years watching her so-called “civilized starfleet officer” human crewmates devolve due to the stress of their situation
post-chute harry’s like “yeah i tried to murder tom with a pipe it was really fucked up :(“ and b’elanna’s like “you, the most Good and Upstanding officer in the entire fleet, did WHAT”
she goes and talks to tuvok like “hey did you know humans are so fucked up actually?” and he’s like “??? yes???”
