That is possibly the same story.  When we were kids, my brother was a little bit of a pyro.  We were also left alone a lot.  He liked to light flammable substances like hairspray and nail polish remover.  One evening, we were outside and he dumped a puddle of nail polish remover into the street and lit it on fire.  Unfortunately, right as he did so, a car started to approach.  Worried about being caught, he attempted to stomp out the flames, but in his haste he fell onto his back.  And he just laid there.  With his foot in the flames and his shoe on fire.  As this car just slowly rolls past.  It was possibly the hardest I have ever laughed in my life.

It’s probably one of those ‘you had to be there’ things, but I still laugh about it when I think of that visual.

Zatara tailors her observable behavior depending on what she is trying to achieve, so yes, she behaves differently around different people.  She has a public persona (which varies with each target) and a private persona.  Most people only ever see the public persona.

5: How would your OC generally react to someone being verbally abusive towards them for no apparent reason?

Again, it depends on what circumstances allow.  Zatara is very, very used to being verbally assaulted by her own people because of her complete lack of social standing.  She will overlook slights, even if she is seething inside, if it is in her best interest to appear collected.  However, she can be vicious - even violent - when unrestrained by the need to come off a certain way.

Fashion sense: 

Because she was raised outside of the cultural mores of Cardassian society, Zatara dresses quite scandalously by their standards.  Soft, dark, clingy fabrics, low cut gowns, slit skirts, bare shoulders and back, open toed boots.

Bad habits:

Hoooo, boy.  This girl has some serious issues.  She’s snippy, sarcastic, haughty, superior, vain, huffy, judgemental, arrogant.  Fortunately, she’s able to mask a lot of these traits when the situation calls for it.
