hmmmm scrappy neelix redesign
Neelix didn’t always get good storylines on Voyager but he is such an underappreciated sweetheart. Seven walks into his kitchen and casually tells him how a bunch of his people got assimilated by the Borg, but he doesn’t hold it against her. He doesn’t even get visibly upset. He makes a little joke about it, prepares her a delicious and healthy meal — making sure it won’t harm her healing stomach — and then sits down with her and helps her learn how to chew and swallow. What a precious furry little man.
When the captain said, ‘You’re a member of the crew and you’re not leaving,’ it was a really good thing for him to hear. He needed to hear it. He really had nowhere to go but back to his old life. For him to have his value to the ship and to Janeway reiterated to him was wonderful.
Ethan Phillips about Neelix
Star Trek Voyager magazine #14 nov. 1997
S6Ep6 “Riddles” or “Tuvok gets a head injury that makes him super nice and good at baking” What does a stylish convalescing Vulcan wear? A very comfy looking velour tunic & pj pants. He looks great! He also looks great smiling, even if it is a little alarming to see Tuvok smile. This is not the Tuvok we know but it’s kind of sad when they figure out how to restore “our” Tuvok. He seemed kinda happy hanging out with Neelix making desserts all day but alas. Tuvok made a full recovery. This episode was directed by Roxanne Dawson. She did a good job! I thought both Tim Russ and Ethan Phillips turned in great performances in this episode. Tuvok is the best. I could use more Tuvok episodes. Also those matching aprons 😍
Neelix with…Neelix?
Many thanks to Ethan Phillips for agreeing to be a part of this!
I have no idea how I can top this next year.
I am dying to find out.
