1. Me and Bill at his panel

2. Bill talks about Leonard. Quite poignant honestly but the fan who asked the question “why didn’t you attend Leonard Nimoy’s funeral” was rather unpleasant.

3. Nana and Rene reprise Odo and Kira’s first encounter in “Necessary Evil”

part 1 introduction:

4. part2:

5. Nana and Rene’s some other poetry reading

6. Jeff did some VR meet and greet with fans around the world. It’s quite fascinating to watch. At first he faced many problems like he couldn’t really see because he wore contact lenses that day but the focus of the VR glass wouldn’t match etc. But in all he seemed to be having a good time. Case stepped in while he’s doing it and he even took some pictures of him.

7. Many clips from Connor and Dominic’s Karaoke night. Didn’t get to film it when both of them sang faith of the heart is the greatest regret of my life. But still… having something is better than none I suppose?

8. Finally, the intro song of Brent’s solo gig. This is the best solo gig I ever seen hands down.

9. My question to Connor at his solo panel about Trip and Archer’s relationship. So the thing is… I’m a Shran/Archer shipper. But my friends can die for Trip. She wrote tons of Archer/Trip fics so I thought about doing this as a gift for her. Afterwards when I went to Connor’s table asking for autographs for my friends he commented me as a good friend lol. Meanwhile Dominic just bitching all the time by his side why I don’t ask for his autograph. This is the weirdest autographing experience I ever had but also really funny.

10. Rat Pack performance

Reblogging because Casey and Jeffy are married and no one will convince me otherwise.

So.

I’m back from what was easily my best STLV experience to date.  I’ve got a bit of the “post-con malaise,” but not nearly as much as previous years.  I attribute this to the incredible healing powers of spending 5 glorious days in the company of my squad.   As much as I love seeing so many of the wonderful cast members that have meant so much to me over the years, as fun as it is making new friends (and I made A LOT this year), and as pleasant as it is walking into that convention hall and seeing so many familiar faces and getting that feeling of “home…” None of that compares to the joy I experienced just being in the company of some of the most badass, funny, insightful, and genuinely kind women I know.

It was my absolute honor to have this time with you.  We shared some very powerful moments and we laughed a lot.  These are memories I will cherish for a lifetime.  Some people don’t understand why Trekkies flock to these events, year after year; well, this is why.

Now, it’s back to “Real Life” and each of us individually creating the changes we wish to see in the world.  We’re artists and educators and advocates, and we all have greatness inside of us.  Time to project that greatness.  Though we have differing passions and projects, together our goals weave a tapestry for a better future for humanity… You know, IDIC.

Chin up.  Tits out.  Let’s go.
