I see a lot on Tumblr about sexuality and acceptance and oppression. It’s got me thinking about things, and I’m curious if anyone else has had a similar experience.
I am very open about my sexuality. I’m a very sexual person. I’ve always identified as bisexual, though I’m starting to think I’m maybe more poly. Anyway, people seem to make a lot of assumptions about bisexuals, when they’re not ignoring us altogether. I once had a guy friend ask me to have sex with his girlfriend, who, I should say, had recently given birth, as her birthday present (he would “just watch” - to start off). Another time, a married couple I know were talking about getting a threesome while they were in Las Vegas. I expressed interest in this because I found them to be enjoyable company and both attractive. The next thing you know, I was getting a phone call from the wife about how she had given my number to some couple she knew and told them to call me.
Can I just take a moment to say that bisexual is not a code word for prostitute? I’m not for sale. I’m not a gift you can buy. While I enjoy discussing sex (and flirting), I’m actually very particular about who I sleep with. What the fuck is wrong with people?
