Kid in the 70s and teen in the 80s, here - I grew up in a time where we were not seen as human beings, but sex acts. When others dehumanize you in this way, there’s no normalization at the elementary school level and so when the teen years come - its all taunts, bullying, and worse.
For a time I felt like we’d actually mopped this shit off the floor, only for that Florida Bill (and other bullshit legislation like it) to emerge like some smear we left behind during cleaning. Time to break out the Brawny towels.

Am I surprised to find this kind of content? Sadly no, especially since the election of Trump and the rise of the Neo-Nazi/Alt-Right/Anti-Intellect/Anti-Women movement that we have seen gain momentum in online communities such as these.
What really alarms me are the #s of likes/reblogs on these accounts - and I’m not talking about the ones that are simple fetishes, where the owner of the account acknowledges that it is a fantasy and not something that should take place in real life. It appears that many of these blogs take these sentiments to heart. And despite being reported to Tumblr for hate speech that promotes violence against women, Tumblr does not seem inclined to do a damn thing about it. In addition to being sexist to a degree that is staggering, these blogs almost invariably appear to be also racist, ageist, ableist, homophobic, Islamophobic, and just generally xenophobic. They want white males in charge and disposable, young, thin white women to rape and abuse.
@staff IT’S FUCKING SCARY. You need to take this shit seriously. This is why we see people with manifestos who go on shooting sprees, and it has the potential to brainwash an entire generation of not just young men, but young women as well. If you’re not worried about the hate speech and the promotion of violence, maybe you should be concerned about the rampant posting of stolen pornographic material. Is that what it takes to get your attention? Because these porn companies have a lot of money invested in what they produce, and I’m sure they could sue the shit out of you if you don’t take down a lot of this stuff that is being posted without out their consent.
