- How I feel about this character: He’s grown on me. I think Avery Brooks has an unusual performance style and it took a lot of getting used to. He’s not my favorite captain, but he’s well written and enjoyable for the most part.
- Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: I don’t really ship him with anyone, but I’m glad he and Kasidy worked out.
- My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: I guess I would have to say Jake. Their relationship is beautiful and one of the best positive examples of parenting in a television series that I can recall.
- My unpopular opinion about this character: I don’t know that I really have an unpopular opinion because I don’t give Sisko that much thought. I guess I would say that he’s just a middle of the road character for me. I think he’s a good officer, but I don’t really think he’s a great leader. They could have done a lot more with him that would have made him more interesting in my opinion, but I feel like they were just really focused on him being the opposite of Picard at that time.
- One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Can I say one thing I wish had not happened to the character? Because I am NOT a fan of the whole Emissary of the Prophets angle. I like my Star Trek without religion and that whole thing was strange to me. But hey, I can swing with that! However, the ‘turn out his mother was an actual wormhole alien’ aspect was a big fail, in my opinion.
- Favorite friendship for this character: Dax!
